Cottovietri ceramics are made of living material, selected clays born from a land free of impurities. And it is this purity that allows itself to be shaped by an ancient manual skill, made of timeless gestures.
The clay mixtures, colored or left in their natural shades of red and yellow, are pressed by hand in wooden frames built in various shapes and sizes.
The smoothing of surfaces and the grinding of edges are the steps of an artisanal practice that remains imprinted forever, also thanks to the drying and subsequent firing in the ‘furnaces’. It will be precisely these gestures that make each ceramic creation a unique example, in terms of details and imperfections.
